Jacksonville ISD Guidance
and Counseling Program

Jacksonville ISD offers a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for all students in the district.

Elementary counselors teach guidance lessons in the classrooms, focusing on making good choices. At the secondary level, counselors assist students in making plans for individual success, including graduation plans. Information about colleges, scholarships, and various careers are available through the guidance office. Other services of our guidance department include coordination of testing, character education, and drug prevention programs.

Counselors are available for individual counseling, small group counseling, and conferences with parents and teachers. In addition, they assist students and their families whenever referral to a community agency for additional help is needed.
