Special Board Meeting
Honors Staff, Retirees
May 21, 2007

The JISD Board of Trustees met in a Regular Meeting at 6:30p.m. Prior to the swearing in of the two new board members, Jim Tarrant and Pat McCown, Dr. Folden presented exiting board members, Roy Darby and Sean McRight, with a plaque of appreciation and thanked them for their dedication and service. The new board members were then administered the Oath of Office by Notary Public, Connie Pope, and took their places at the Board table.

Retiring employees were recognized and presented with retirement awards as well as those employees receiving certificates and monetary incentives for 5 year increments of service to JISD.

Carol Shields and Lynne Bullock presented the 21st Century Teaching Award for May 2007 to Jacksonville Middle School and complimented Principal, Lisa Hancock, and her staff for using technology to teach their students. Dr. Folden presented Ms. Hancock with a framed certificate and thanked her and her staff for their contribution to teaching students.
