Four Elementary Teachers Awarded
21st Century Teacher Award

Carol Shields presented to the Board the 21st Century Teacher Award recipients for November 2006. She explained that there were four recipients for the award this month due to their valuable contribution of utilizing technology in the classroom in grades PK through 4. The four recipients are the instructional technologists at the four elementary campuses: Brandi Franks – Fred Douglass Elementary; Jennifer Stanley – West Side Elementary; Cara Cavazos – Joe Wright Elementary; and Mary Foreman – East Side Elementary. Dr. Folden acknowledged and thanked each of the four recipients and presented them with a framed certificate.
